Wild Mountain Thyme
Wild Mountain Thyme is a simple top down pullover, designed to showcase this stunning naturally dyed yarn from Oysters and Purls. A subtle sheen, a lofty fiber, and gorgeous color made the skeins irresistible. I immediately cast on when the yarn arrived in early 2020, and all I wanted was beautiful fiber, simple design, and moody, sophisticated color.
With that in mind, the sweater is a top down tee with an elegant diamond motif featured along the yoke. Intentionally placed yarnovers add subtle detail around the colorwork, and the fit is loose and boxy. Sleeves and body are short, but the silhouette is easily modified. Notes are in the pattern to alter as desired.

Yarn: Oysters and Purls Romney Merino (60% Romney wool, 40% Merino wool; 240yds/219m per 3.53oz/100g skein). Sample shown in Water (main color) and Fire (accent color).
If substituting yarn, a heavy DK or light worsted weight wool will work best. I was in love with the soft, natural shades of the Oysters and Purls yarn here and loved the subtle difference between these colors for mine, but you can easily work this pattern with any sort of color combination.
