White Russian

$8.00

First published in 2009 as a long tunic with a cowl neck, the White Russian pattern has been updated and re-released in 2021 as a classic pullover, worked in either a cropped or hip length.

Using the lace and rib combination from the 2009 fitted tunic, I designed a simple raglan top with an open neckline. This White Russian still features a delicate lace rib on front and back, ribbed sides, raglan construction, and simple stockinette sleeves.

The open lace rib and the lightweight wool make it a perfect year round layer, and the detail and shape of this pullover are classic enough to go with almost anything.

The updated pattern instructions include notes for making either a cropped or traditional length pullover, as well as for adding a cowl to the neckline.

The pattern is easily modified for either length or width, and instructions are included on how to do so. The ribbing along the sides gives you pretty unlimited shaping options as you work down the body!
