Seelbach

$8.00

Seelbach has been updated (2024) to include a greater size range and the level of detail I include in my current patterns.

I love the flowy, gentle lines of this pattern and the distinct edges along the side each cable panel on the sweater. The texture is unique, but the cables themselves are easily memorized and much simpler than they appear. They flow beautifully into the hem. Along each edge of the front and back, side stitches and rib detail make for beautiful shoulders and also create an easy spot for adjusting width if needed. Sleeves are simple and keep the focus on the body.

The construction is simple and features a loose body, classic sleeve fit, and a wide neckline. Notes are in the pattern to adjust fit, sleeves, or neckline as desired too.

Seelbach is knit from the bottom up in 2 pieces (front and back). Once the two pieces are seamed together at sides and shoulders, sleeve stitches are picked up and worked to cuff in the round. Then the collar stitches are also picked up and worked in the round to finish the sweater.

YOTH Sample (deep gray) shown in Portabella, West Yorkshire Spinnery Croft version (orange) shown in Melby. Both my Mom and my sister were bribed to play on this one.
