Épernay

$8.00

Meet Épernay, a modern paneled pullover with dramatic cables and texture.

The fabric is light and warm, so it's a wonderful layering piece and the cables are eye-catching but not difficult, and beautifully accented with a delicate texture background. I did play just a little with proportions this time. The sweater is loose and easy, but features a wide neckline and full sleeves with aggressive wrist shaping to get to a fitted cuff, but the elements are still subtle and feel classic, allowing the motifs and the color of this amazing yarn to really stand out.

Épernay is knit in the round from the bottom up and separated into front and back at armholes. Pieces are then worked flat to shoulder. Once shoulders are seamed, sleeve and neckline stitches are picked up and worked in the round to end.

Épernay is designed with a loose fit, short length, and an open neckline. Sleeves are worked with extra ease in the arm, then shaped for a fitted cuff. Pattern for Epernay includes notes on how to modify these elements of the design if desired.

Sample shown worn with 6”/15.25cm of ease. I suggest choosing the size that gives you about 4-6”/10-15.25cm of positive ease for fit shown, but sweater can easily be worn with less ease, if desired.
