Earl Grey Martini
Earl Grey features bold, geometric lace at bottom and lots of garter stitch on top - all knit in a subtly heathered Shetland/Romney wool. It combines delicacy, simplicity, and a rustic feel perfectly for me. It’s lovely and feminine, but also wearable and approachable. The lace and the short rows are satisfying to knit, but not difficult, and the combination is incredibly wearable.
Earl Grey is knit from the bottom up, with lace worked on RS Rows only. The tips of the panel are increased at each end until complete. The garter stitch section is shaped with short rows, and one single rib travels up the center to accent the V shape, which is beautifully visible in the garter stitch texture.
Notes are included in the pattern for adjusting either length or width.
